Maddens slowly but her wrath is not something a sane person would want to see.
Is very proud of how she runs her kingdom but doesn't look down on her people and tries to look out for their needs the best that she can.
Has extensive political knowledge and generally assesses situations in a reasonable way. Always sees politics on long-term.
Is a virgin and should remain so.

Story: The Queen Regnant of Eluse is the scion of a long heritage line of queens that have run the country ever since it has been created, centuries ago. She has reigned for over 190 years after inheriting the throne from her mother, according to Eluse's tradition to have a female ruler. She is also the guardian of the Hedera Blade.
She has fought for decades to maintain her country free from all external coercions, especially since Asseton has been trying to steal the Hedera Blade, and has gained considerable warfare experience thanks to this. However, she advocates non-violence and prefers parleying with her enemies rather than throwing her people in a war. Yet she remains realistic and knows that sometimes violence can only be dealt with through greater violence and she doesn't hesitate to strike back if her kingdom is attacked.
Her status as supreme ruler also makes her the highest authority in the worshipping of the Sacred Waterway, the cult of Eluse. She attends a yearly meeting with the High Priestesses of each temple who are her representatives outside Aquanne.
Queen Saran's purpose is mainly to keep the equilibrium between the positive and negative forces that rule the world and make it work. Hence she doesn't want to eradicate Evil since she believes Good has no meaning without Evil and that both forces are actually indissociable from each other.
Saran is not immortal in the classic sense of the word, she simply ages VERY slowly but will die once her eldest daughter reaches maturity. She will automatically give birth to at least one female. Saran's mother disappeared once she took the crown, just like she will when her own daughter takes her place. Her father and her brother died from old age decades ago.
She trusts in Derva [link] and Izekondi [link] as her most powerful agents, just like she has great esteem and respect for Zelad [link] and Senami [link] , her second-in-commands and chiefs of her army.
Weapons: Her sentient, shape-shifting shawl that can take virtually any form she desires and that she also uses as a shield.
Powers: The Queen seldom fights directly but when she does, she shows being an unbelievably powerful sorceress that taps into the ancient spiritual lore of the land and the elemental forces. She has also some necromantic powers such as being able to get information from the recently dead. She is able to use several spells at a time and can enter the astral realm at will. She has precognition about immediate future which makes her difficult to surprise but she can't predict her opponent's moves if she is psychically attacked. No one has ever seen the full extent of her powers yet, or at least has remained alive to tell the tale...
She is aware of astral and ethereal presences, such as ghosts or people travelling through such means, and can summon them or make them tangible.
While not indestructible, the Queen will always regenerate from any damage she might have sustained, given due time and as long as she's a virgin. If utterly obliterated, she will reappear but it will take a really long time for her to do so.
Weaknesses and annoying traits: The queen is a bit of a worry wart. She is very anxious inside, despite her serene mask, and she sometimes feels the burden of having been around for too long. She now wishes to find a mate so that she can be mortal again and rest her soul.
Queen Saran is not immortal in the classical sense of the word. Her immortality is entirely linked to her virginity. Once she's deflowered, she will no longer be able to regenerate and will die like the next person if she takes too much damage.
When she chooses her consort, her daughter will take her place on the throne once she reaches maturity, causing her to dissipate in the air and her essence will become part of the land.
